Quick overview
Bringing the character of a Sri Lankan villa stay into a considered digital booking experience.
The website connects a more expressive hospitality presentation with clearer information and a direct route to reservation enquiries.
The business and the brief
Introduction
Abi Villas needed a website that reflected its hospitality offer while giving prospective guests a practical way to explore a stay. The existing presentation did not make enough of the property imagery or support mobile browsing well. We combined a more restrained visual direction with clearer content and enquiry forms, bringing inspiration and trip planning into the same experience.
A hospitality website needs to help a visitor imagine a stay and assess whether it suits their plans. Property imagery can establish the atmosphere, but guests also need a clear way to move towards an enquiry. We approached those emotional and practical tasks as parts of the same booking experience.
What needed to change
The challenge
- The existing design did not reflect the quality and character of the villa experience.
- Slow pages and weak mobile usability interrupted the research journey for prospective guests.
- Visitors needed clearer property information and a straightforward way to make a reservation enquiry.
Our approach · 01
Giving the stay a visual identity online
We used property imagery, balanced typography, and a clear page hierarchy to communicate the hospitality experience. The design gives the accommodation room to stand out while keeping the information guests need easy to find.
Large imagery only helps when the surrounding layout gives it a clear role. The typography, spacing, and page hierarchy were considered together so the accommodation can make a strong impression without making essential information harder to find. The result is a more deliberate relationship between visual storytelling and usability.

Our approach · 02
Connecting inspiration with an enquiry
Property content, local experiences, and booking forms bring the practical details of a stay into the browsing journey. Clear prompts help prospective guests move from exploring the offer to contacting the team about their plans.
The guest journey does not end at viewing a property photograph. Content about the accommodation and surrounding experience helps visitors frame their plans, while the enquiry form provides a practical route to discuss a stay. The website connects these stages instead of treating booking as a separate destination.

Our approach · 03
Supporting travellers across devices
Responsive layouts and image optimisation support customers researching from different devices and locations. Search content addresses Sri Lankan hospitality and travel discovery without letting keywords dictate the guest experience.
Guests may return to a hospitality website several times while researching a trip. A consistent responsive experience helps maintain continuity between those visits, and optimised imagery supports the balance between visual presentation and page delivery. Search content introduces the offer to travellers looking for relevant stays.
